Pssssst here’s a few secrets to help you live longer

We hope that you’re already one of those lucky people who appreciates that life is a gift and tries to make the most of every minute, if you are then this article should be of interest to you!! We’ve listed a few minute booster tips that will help extend your life and improve the quality of it too! What’s not to like?!
The reason we call them minute boosters is because that’s exactly what do, they give us extra time. Try to incorporate one of these into your daily routine, pick one and make sure you do it for 30 days as it’s much more likely to become a habit after this time period. Once you’ve included your first choice into your daily routine, then onto the next and so on. Before you know it, you’ll be doing all of these on autopilot!
If we view each individual positive step as an extra minute of life gained, then we’ll all be on the right path. First step, onto the list….
- Concentrate On You – Our personality, mood and state of mind all affect our lifespan, and fortunately these can all be altered through changes that we can make! Surrounding yourself with positive upbeat people who treat others with care, respect and understanding. Volunteer to help others or join a public project for positive change. Make some time for yourself and do something you love, or that you’ve always wanted to do. Read literature with a positive undertone. Listen to feel good music. There are many ways and we all know what makes us feel this way, so do it now and do it daily!
- You Are What You Eat – If you’re eating healthy, nutritious and delicious, then that’s what you’ll be. This is another change that we’re in complete control of! Try to look at each and every bite, and question ‘what is this doing for my body’, if it’s providing no nutrition then it won’t be improving your condition and the likelihood is it will be doing damage. I love a good analogy so I’m not missing out on this opportunity – If you think of your body as a high performance sports car and continued to drive it either using the wrong fuel or not fuelling at all (no nutrition) then you would expect some problems. Why would you not expect the same from your body? Just because you cannot see or feel the damage that does not mean it isn’t happening. The crazy thing is that there are so many healthy, nutritious foods and recipes which taste delightful that we should always be nourishing our bodies. Also it’s never too late to make a change! If you’re aware of what you need to do, and care enough to do something about it, then you’re well on your way to success. Make the change today.
- Keep Moving – Staying active is another critical factor, and research has shown that people who sit for long periods of time are more susceptible to health problems and a decreased lifespan. A study which was conducted in 2011 concluded that for every hour spent sat down, after the age of 25, would result in a 22 minute reduction in lifespan. If that’s not a motivator to get active, then I don’t know what is.
- Keep In Touch – Staying connected with your loved ones, both friends and family has considerable impact on your life expectancy. This is so easy to do, all you have to do is make the effort to meet or spend that quality time with someone you care about. You can be minute boosting together, it’s of mutual benefit.
- Don’t Over Consume – You should never get the feeling that you can’t move, eat or think because you’ve eaten too much. A study showed that consuming in moderation helps you age slower by reducing the production of the thyroid hormone T3 which speeds up the ageing process and slows the metabolism.
If you reduce your alcohol intake, tobacco intake, exercise regularly and eat fruits and vegetables daily, this can be the difference of 12 years on your life. It’s not to be taken lightly.
It doesn’t matter what your starting position is with all of the above, you can make a difference starting now so ‘just do it’

If you need to discuss anything, need some motivation or just have a question then we’re here to help and look forward to connecting with you!
I’ve gained 12 minutes today 🙂
