Food Art – Cucumber Race Car
This week’s food art is sure to please the kids and encourage them to eat healthy too.
Playing with food can be fun, creative and educational with our simple and delicious food art creations, so why not give them a go?
Today, we’ve made a fabulous race car and driver from cucumber, tomatoes and pine nuts and if that wasn’t enough we also made a race track from chia seeds and coconut flour.
We love creating food art every week as we hope to inspire as many children as possible to eat healthy and to learn about the benefits of nutritious food. If you’ve made any delicious creations yourself, send us your photos to: [email protected] or post them on our Facebook page. We’d love to see them.
Cucumbers – are full of vitamin K which helps you have a healthy happy heart and strong bones that won’t break very easily!
Tomatoes – the natural red colour means that it’s good for your heart! We all want a happy heart.
Pine nuts – have iron in them which helps oxygen go around your body. We need oxygen to breathe and this gives us the energy to be able to work and have fun everyday.
Chia seeds – have lots of calcium which helps you grow strong teeth and bones
Chia Seeds and Pine Nuts – also have loads of magnesium in them which also help create strong bones and can help to prevent diabetes!
Coconuts and Chia Seeds – have lots of fibre in them which helps to keep your tummy healthy!
