What you’ll need:

2 Avocados
1 pack of mushrooms

Method:

1. To make the mushroom ghosts simply chop the ends to ensure they are all straight and will stand up, then carve eyes and a nose with a sharp knife.
2. To make the avocado skulls start by chopping a slice out of the bottom of the avocado’s (so they are straight and will stand up) then carve a rectangle towards the bottom of the avocado’s to make the mouth.
3. Gently tease the mouth out and place it skin side down on a chopping board.
4. Slice small rectangles in it to make teeth and place them back inside the avocado.
5. Move on to the nose: carve a nose shape out of the avocado (just above the mouth) and gently tease this out.
6. Carve a circle out to make one of the eyes and tease out. Once out remove the skin from this circle and use as a template to carve the next eye, so they are the same size. Once both eyes are carved you are finished. Decorate the table with any spooky decorations you have, or try some of our other Halloween food art ideas:
